Selected shots from Japan. I've been messing around with different ways of displaying my photos and I have settled on using the Rapidweaver standard html and flash galleries. I don't have the patience to redo the previous galleries, so tough luck.

Test Drive 1 and 2 - Shots from around Kyoto on my new Canon Digital Rebel XT.

Kyoto - Autumn - This series of photos was taken here and there around Kyoto. As I am having difficulty putting notes into my album, here are a few details. The city shots are of Kyoto, first east toward my neighbourhood, then North and West. The fire photos are from Kyoto's highly packed and aptly named "fire festival" and the ones with people are: myself at Kinkaku-ji; an old lady feeding cats; Sachi, making her first jack o' lantern; and me and Chris Rowthorn.

Hokkaido - I took these photos during a 5 day hike through the famous Daisetsuzan (big snow mountain) range in Hokkaido, the northernmost main island of Japan. Conditions for the first 4 days were nearly ideal for photography, as you can see by the clear blue skies. The end of the 4th and the 5th were mainly spent swaddled in high mountain fog, so lacked much to take photos of.
